Musings #70 Never

“A cat never discusses his business with humans, not even Princesses. A cat never explains and never apologizes. A cat never alibis. You must accept a cat as it is and for what it is and not expect more than the pleasure of its company.”

Musings #66 The Cat

“The cat is beauty and the beast, a baffling blend, a wicked feast.
For all who dream of varied light, the cat holds both the dark and bright.”

Since this is Adopt A Cat Month, I’d like to share about the two polydactyl panfurs who live here.
There is a saying that this is the Cat’s house, I just pay the rent. LOL
Panky, short for Hanky Panky, was dumped off at the end of my block in 2011 on a pile of junk that accrued there. Neighbors noticed a pillowcase on top of this pile that was moving and checked it out. There were two kittens inside! (That particular pile of junk was set on fire a few days later!) Somehow I ended up with the tabby that stayed in the pillowcase, while the other kitten dashed off. I found a home for the tabby, and  waited for the second kitten to be caught by other neighbors.  During this time, La Petite Grande Dame Cherie ( http://ASpottyedView.wordpress.com) was starting to decline health-wise, and I was doing my best to make her as comfortable as possible.  The second kitten was caught about 10 days later and turned over to me. After I helped Cherie cross over the Rainbow Bridge, I was still unsure of what to do with this little guy. After a couple of weeks of going back and forth on this issue, I decided that he shall live here with me.
Troyer, full name is Troyer Meowgi, joined our family June 9, 2013, as a young 12 week old kitten. More on June 9th on a later post, as this date seems to be always coming up for me.  I wasn’t sure if having a second cat here would work but according to Panky, it was either having a feline housemate for him or suffer the wrath of “I’m not giving him enough attention” by way of scratches and bites.
Panky was very excited to have a new brofur almost immediately, and it took Troyer a week or so to stop hissing at all new things and situations. LOL  They have very different purr-sonalities, yet manage to live harmoniously. I absolutely love that they will cuddle or hang together, even after a good session of panfur wrestling. 😀

Musings #61 Mysteries

“A cat’s secrets run so deep that even the cat itself is often unaware.

Their mysteries are as natural as whiskers.”

Wonder what mysteries lies behind those panfur eyes?
